Genjutsu AI vs Higgsfield Genjutsu

Two things share the name. Higgsfield Genjutsu is a video-to-video tool on higgsfield.ai, the creative suite built by Higgsfield. This page sets out what each one does, using Higgsfield's own pages for every Higgsfield fact, so you can pick the one that fits your clip.

Try Genjutsu AI

In short

  • Higgsfield Genjutsu handles 4–30 second clips with up to 30 reference images; Genjutsu AI takes 3–15 seconds and up to four.
  • Higgsfield lets you put your own face into a trending video; Genjutsu AI never swaps a real person's face or identity.

  • Higgsfield uses its own credits and plans; Genjutsu AI sells its own credits, priced per second of your clip.

What Higgsfield Genjutsu is

According to Higgsfield's help center, Genjutsu rebuilds part of an existing video while everything else stays as shot. You pick a trending motion from its Motion Library or upload your own clip of 4 to 30 seconds, add up to 30 reference images and change the character, object, location or style. It works on real footage and on video generated in Higgsfield tools, and a prompt is optional because presets can do the whole job.

Higgsfield describes two modes. Motion transfer keeps only the movement of your video and builds a new scene around it; a Style block inside it redraws the whole video in a chosen look. Objects swap changes exactly what you point at, which Higgsfield says can be a person, product, outfit or text, and leaves the rest of the shot as it is. Output is 480p, 720p or 1080p. Genjutsu Lite is a faster, more affordable version for the same 4–30 second clips, with up to 10 images, no mode choice and 720p or 1080p output.

Higgsfield says Genjutsu is available on its website, through the Higgsfield API and via MCP, with Genjutsu Lite also available through CLI, plugins and Supercomputer.

What Genjutsu AI is

Genjutsu AI is an online video-to-video editor at genjutsu-ai.pro, run independently of Higgsfield. You upload one clip you filmed, describe the change and optionally add up to four reference images of an object, outfit, product, pet or fictional character. The edit keeps the motion, timing, camera path and audio of your footage and returns an MP4 of the same length.

The studio gives you a choice of engines: Seedance 2.5 Video Edit Turbo (the default, 720p or 1080p), three Higgsfield workflows called through Higgsfield's API (Motion Transfer, Object Swap and Restyle, at 480p, 720p or 1080p) and Kling O3 Video Edit, the lowest price per second. Clips are MP4 or MOV, up to 100 MB, 3–15 seconds (4–15 seconds for Seedance and Higgsfield), at least 720p and 24–60 fps.

Pricing models

Higgsfield says Genjutsu generations use its standard credit system and each run shows its cost before you generate. Its help center adds that if Genjutsu is in your plan's Unlimited list, generations on higgsfield.ai do not deduct credits, while API, MCP, CLI, plugin and Supercomputer generations always do. Check Higgsfield's pricing page for current plans.

Genjutsu AI sells its own credits, with no Higgsfield account needed. The cost depends on the engine and on the length of your clip in whole seconds: Kling O3 is 4 credits per second, Seedance 2.5 is 7 or 8 credits per second at 720p or 1080p, and the Higgsfield workflows are 9, 18 or 42 credits per second at 480p, 720p or 1080p. The smallest one-time pack is $9.90 for 20 credits, monthly plans start at $29 for 120 credits, and a confirmed failed edit returns the reserved credits.

Which one should you use?

Choose Higgsfield Genjutsu if you need clips longer than 15 seconds, more than four references, its Motion Library of trends, or to put your own face into a video. It is also the natural choice if you already work inside Higgsfield's suite or need its API or MCP access.

Choose Genjutsu AI if your clip is 15 seconds or shorter and you want to compare Seedance 2.5, Higgsfield's workflows and Kling O3 in one place, pay per second with a small one-time pack, or work under a strict rule that no real person's likeness is ever swapped. Either way, review every result before you publish it, and only upload footage and images you have the right to use.
